MISSISSIPPI RIVER: SNAG BOAT.
The 'Charles H. West,' a snag boat of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, clearing snags along the Mississippi River, c1950. The vessel was subsequently converted into a replica of the 19th century steamboat 'Lt. Robert E. Lee' and became a floating restaurant in St. Louis, Missouri.
