BUDDHIST CRISIS, 1963.
A Buddhist leader addressing a crowd of supporters from the top of a car in Saigon, South Vietnam, 16 June 1963, following the postponement of funeral services for Thich Quang Duc, the Buddhist monk who committed self-immolation five days earlier in protest of the repressive measures of President Ngo Dinh Diem.
